Changes in the Mass Schedule
Effective September 5th
Beginning September 5th, the first Sunday of September, St. Louis will be implementing changes in the weekend Spanish Masses. Due to increasing attendance at the early Sunday morning Spanish Mass in the chapel (now at 6:30am), this Mass will be moved to the Main Nave to accommodate more people.
This Mass time will also change to 6:00am to allow more time between that Mass and the 7:30am English Mass. Please note that this early Spanish Mass will remain a quiet, meditative Mass, with no scheduled music, as it is now.
Also effective September 5th, the 5:30pm Spanish Sunday Mass will be changed to 5:00pm. This will mean that late afternoon Masses on Saturday and Sunday will both begin at 5:00pm, easier to remember. An earlier start time will also allow more leeway between that 5:00pm Mass and any scheduled evening events in the sanctuaries.
So starting in September, the published Sunday schedule will be as follows with all Masses in the Main Nave:
6:00am Spanish Mass
7:30am English Mass
9:30am English Mass
11:30am English Mass
1:30pm Spanish Mass
5:00pm Spanish Mass
