Food Pantry

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food. I was thirsty and you gave Me drink."             Matthew 25:35

Mission

The food pantry was started nearly 20 years ago to provide food assistance to the needy of our community without regard to race, religion, nationality or cultural background.

Service Area

The food pantry currently serves West IH 35/West Dessau; North 45th; South Howard Lane and East of Mopac/East of McNeil Rd. This area serves the boundaries of St. Louis King of France and St. Albert the Great Catholic Churches.

Hours

Saturday mornings from 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m..

Come Volunteer

We are always in need for volunteers especially bilingual.

Offering your help in the Food Pantry is a perfect opportunity for younger members and families of our parish community to be involved in ministering to the needs of our less fortunate brethren.

At the moment 120 volunteers help in the physical operation of the Food Pantry. They collect food purchased from CAFB and stock shelves.

During hours of operation they interview clients, sack and distribute the groceries. Most of them have been serving in this ministry from 12-15 years.

Food Items Needed

Items needed are: Flour, sugar, corn, green beans, small bottle of cooking oil, 1 lb. bags of pinto beans, 1 lb. bags of rice, small boxes of laundry soap and shampoo.
