Welcome to the St. Louis Parish Library, established in 1982, in the Parish Education Center. We provide parishioners of all ages a lending library of books, videos, DVDs, audio, and musical CDs on a variety of theological and spiritual topics.
We are currently volunteer run and rely on donations of cash and resources. For any questions contact firstname.lastname@example.org
We prefer that parishioners come during the time that the library is open. The ability to search the collection is limited and the volunteers are trained on using search tools to look up books by title and subject. Faculty and staff can use the library as needed, but since the library is also a meeting space, check the schedule before coming in. For the same reason, a catechist who needs to use the library when it is not staffed may contact their ministry lead to check the schedule and let them in. Instructions for self-checkout will be on the desk of the library.
Library Aide Volunteers- help when the library is open. They assist parishioners with finding materials, answer questions about the library, and perform other tasks as needed. Training will be done while volunteer is on duty.
Library Automation Volunteers – help automate the library processes. We will be using Openbiblio, an open source library system. Most of the work will include creating the catalog database. Additional modules for circulation and online public access will follow.
Book/Media Review Volunteers- use subject or ministry expertise to help review donated materials for inclusion in our collection.
Publicity Volunteers – help promote the library by designing graphics and other promotional materials. Assist with special events.

We gladly accept donations of religious books (audio or print), DVDs or CDs that are in good condition. We will review the donations to decide which materials we can use in our collection. Any donated items that we cannot use will either be donated to another source or sold to purchase other library materials.
