Gabriel Project & Project Rachel

Gabriel Project

What is the Gabriel Project?

The Gabriel Project is a ministry of the diocesan Office of Pro-Life Activities and Chaste Living that provides help to pregnant women in need. St. Louis and other churches participate in the project to assist women experiencing a crisis pregnancy. We respond to the needs of women in a loving, unconditional, and nonjudgmental manner.

Angels

Gabriel Project Angels are trained volunteers who help mothers by maintaining contact with them throughout their pregnancy. An angel offers love, care, and spiritual and material support to the mother. All Angels receive training and helpful resources from the Office of Pro-Life Activities and Chaste Living.

Other volunteering

Other volunteering opportunities include: Donors, Donation Storers, and Prayer Support. For more information, contact Maria Huemmer by phone at 512.522.6619 or email. You can also sign up to receive email updates from the Gabriel Project here.

Project Rachel

Mission

Project Rachel is a ministry to help women and men suffer emotionally or spiritually because of an abortion. By working through their pain, those involved come to recognize and experience God's healing grace, and are made whole again. If you are in this position, Project Rachel offers you an opportunity through loving, caring, and understanding counseling to move toward reconciliation -- with your unborn child, your family, our church and your God. For more information or assistance, please call 512.238.1246 or 1-877-WE CARE2.
