Envisioned Future
By 2010 Youth Ministry will provide a diverse opportunity for young people to lead a faith life. In preparation, we will guide all youth of our community to actively participate in the Church's Mission of discipleship with Christ. We will utilize the support of our Parishioners, The Austin Diocese, Parish Staff, and the Community of our City.
Vivid Descriptions
We incorporate the eight components for comprehensive youth ministry from the National Conference of Catholic
Bishops Document. (Renewing the Vision) In doing so, we will open diverse opportunities for youth to respond to certain
interest that young people have today. We will nurture and cultivate these interest through creative arts, liturgical scripture
studies, Catholic doctrine, prayer experiences, faith sharing, community building, and special events. We will seek the support
from parish staff members, the ordained, and community leaders. We will actively plan with these individuals by implementing
ideas, sessions, and provide role models for the youth in our community.
Our ministry efforts will go beyond our Church walls
into family households, into the Diocese, and into other parishes. St. Louis youth ministry office will collaborate with parishes,
organizations and schools in order to provide healthy faith experiences for young people today. These targeted organizations will
consist of, but not be limited to, neighboring School Districts, St. Louis School, YMCA, Civic institutions, and community/global
service projects.
Permission/Consent
Some of our events require a permission slip/parental consent form to be filled
out by youth and parent prior to the event. The event description in the newsletter or in the
bulletin will indicate whether you need this form or not. For your convenience, the Parental Consent
Form is also available here in English and
Spanish.
